Benefits of glycerin for hair

Glycerol, also known as glycerol, is a colorless, syrupy liquid with a sweet taste. It is alcohol with the formula C3H8O3.

Although it can be produced by the fermentation of sugars or by the action of bacteria on waste products of vegetable oils and animal fats, it is more commonly made by the dehydration of trihydric alcohols such as glycerin or ethylene glycol.
