First off, let’s start by saying that drinking tea tree oil should be avoided due to its high toxicity levels. 

Tea tree oil contains terpenes-4-ol which can cause serious side effects if ingested in large amounts such as nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. 

Additionally, there are no known scientific studies that prove any benefit from ingesting tea tree oils 

– even when taken orally under medical supervision 

– making this practice potentially dangerous without appropriate cautionary measures being taken first. 

That said, some people do choose to use small amounts of diluted tea tree oils for topical application on their skin or hair as part of their skincare routine since the antibacterial 

properties may help reduce acne breakouts or dandruff flare-ups respectively; however, these applications should always be done cautiously 

as prolonged exposure could lead to irritation and sensitization over time due to a compound called 1-8 cineole found within the essential oils themselves (which acts like a mild irritant).  

 Furthermore, there have been reports linking oral ingestion of high concentrations (>15%)of undiluted Tea Tree Oil with liver damage so please avoid taking any internally unless 

directed by your doctor who will advise on how much dilution would best suit you based on individual risk factors present at that particular time e..g age/weight etc...   

 All things considered then - while some people might find topical uses for diluted tea tree oil beneficial, it's important not to take it internally without consulting professional medical advice first.
